LINING A CAKE PAN WITH PARCHMENT PAPER Many baking recipes call for lining a pan with parchment paper, especially desserts such as cheesecake. We'll need: parchment paper, softened butter, pencil, scissors and tape measure. Place the cake pan on a piece of parchment paper and trace around it with a pencil, then cut out the circle with scissors. Now move on to the sides: measure the height of the pan and make tick marks on the paper. Then cut out the strips. Brush the pan with softened butter, then place the parchment paper circle in the bottom and arrange the strips along the sides. Your cake pan is lined and ready to use! Cut the strips width ways across the paper so as not to waste it
