How to make a turmeric chai latte

Warm up with this delicious spicy turmeric chai latte (RECIPE BELOW). The secret to a good chai is the right balance of spices and in this quick video we show you the essential spices to use. The added twist of turmeric, known for its health benefits, makes this chai extra tasty. SUBSCRIBE Get 2-3 brand new videos every week (TUE, THU, FRI), including recipes, kitchen hacks and handy cooking tips to help you feed your family and friends: GOLDEN TURMERIC CHAI LATTE Serves 2 Prep 5 mins Cooking 5 mins 1 tsp ground turmeric 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp ground cardamom ¼ tsp ground nutmeg 1 cinnamon stick 1 whole star anise 1 tsp fennel seeds, crushed 1 tsp vanilla bean paste Coarsely ground black pepper 2 cups (500ml) milk (or soya, almond) Hney or coconut sugar, to taste 1. Combine the turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, pepper, fennel and vanilla in a medium saucepan. Add the milk and stir to combine. Place over medium heat. Bring to a simmer. Set aside for 5 mins for the flavours to infuse. 2. Strain through a fine sieve into serving glasses. Taste and season with honey or sugar. Serve immediately.
