Quick & Easy Tawa Chicken (updated recipe)

This is an updated recipe to one I had previously posted for a Tawa Chicken (Tawa is a popular type of South Asian cooking pan, but you can certainly use other pans). As I've said in prior videos, the best cooking comes from practice and trying new preparations for your food. Hope you enjoy this update! INGREDIENTS: (for first step) -1 lb boneless chicken breast cut into 1-1&1/2" flat pieces -1/4-1/2 cup water -1 tsp green chili paste OR 1 2 tsps fine chopped green chili (remove seeds before using) -1 heaped tbsp ginger -1 heaped tbsp garlic paste -2 medium tomatoes, sliced or chopped -1 tbsp oil (for second step) -1 tbsp julienned ginger (i.e. cut into long strips) -1 tsp salt (or less) to taste -1 tsp dry oregano leaves -1/2 tsp coarse grind black pepper -1/2 tsp red chili flakes -1/2 cup yogurt 2-4 tbsps butter or ghee (see previous recipe on how to make ghee to learn more) STEPS: 1. Mix all the above ingredients in a pan, bringing it to boil on high heat, then reduce heat and cook on medium for 10-15 minutes until meat is cooked and pan is almost dry 2. Add the rest of the ingredients and fry on high heat for 3-5 minutes until oil comes out on sides 3. (OPTIONAL) Garnish with green chili, cilantro, and chopped ginger ENJOY!
